Spring Rhododendron 4

Pastel on a sandpaper. Rhodies are so different in texture one from another. We had close to 400 different rhododendrons. The leaves on some are slick and glossy, on others rough like old weathered leather. Hopefully I can get the different textures right, to give the flowers their justice.
